Today I had to bring in something that linked into my project, so I brought in my brother's guitar (Ben) to draw. To draw Ben I used a pen to draw and add cross-hatching then ink colour to paint it in. My reasoning behind the guitar links into my idea being at a concert.

Rules for my game
Rules and objectives of the game:
The main objective is to get backstage and meet the band;
there’s one person within the crowd that has a backstage pass. You as the
player hold the ability to swipe the pass from around their neck but if you get
caught security will throw you out…
If you opt not to go for the backstage pass and fight your
way back stage there’s obstacles such as: the mosh pit, the circle pit, a wall
of death or the player will get pushed up to start crowd surfing but instead of
going to the front it takes you to the back. If and only if you get your way to
the front they player will have to face security.
The rules are as followed:
-
The player can push back in the mosh
-
The player is unable to escape the circle pit if
caught
-
There is no second chances in getting the pass, you either
get it or don’t
-
If the player is caught in the mosh there is again no
escape
The same goes for the wall of death
If you as the player make it backstage you have a maximum of
30 seconds to hide from security but have to stay stealthy to evade the
security and find the bands dressing room
There are 3 characters to choose from.
Primary observational drawing
Instead of using Slipknot as the band I decided to branch away from Slipknot but continue on with the band and concert theme. The band is known as Bullet For My Valentine. This is a typical way for anyone to play the guitar.

Lights and Dark sections in an adapted drawing/3D Platfrom Level
We had to
design a 3D platform level using everyday objects, and then conducted a
walkthrough on how the level would be played.
Thus giving us an idea where we can
place enemies/bosses, Easter eggs and simply every fine detail in our game. Once
the walkthrough had been conducted we then took photos and videos of both
levels for our blogs.
Later we sketched out certain parts of
the level – each section was drawn once – later that day we chose a piece that
someone had designed then develop it into something completely different doing
a 180 degree turn
Side note:
yes I took off my chains for completion of the design of the level
I Chose the picture below then drawn over it in Photoshop but adding detail in each layer; smoothing it out. Towards the third layer I started to adapted the picture to the one above. Once that was finished I had to add in the light and dark tones from wherever the light was coming from, I chose the top right hand corner
