Evaluation

Evaluation

There were a few drawings that I had used throughout this project: I drew Johan Hegg from Amon Amarth, there was Michael Paget from the welsh band Bullet For My Valentine; I had drawn all nine past members from Slipknot because. I have drawn the stage set up of a slipknot concert since their latest album .5 the grey chapter.
To do all these I drew them on Photoshop to then uploading them to my blog, I also used pictures underneath to help me develop my proportions. Some photo were my own from concerts I had been to
We've used a range of materials; a select few are: terracotta clay, air drying clay, liquid latex and Acrylic paint.
I feel I was quite successful in using the air drying clay because I made Mick Thomson’s Slipknot mask, using the tools provided I made the mask to have 3D affect to it.

Drawing out my ideas helped me a little to understand the design process of the masks to slipknot. It also gave me an understanding to the designing too. It also helped me understand the placements to the slipknot stage and how it fits so well.
Drawing out my idea helped my thought process because I had the idea to stretch out from slipknot to other bands such as Bullet, Amon and Avenged Sevenfold
My most recent drawing was ‘The Rev’ From Avenged Sevenfold.
The techniques used were: modelling, moulding, drawing wise; tracing and Photoshop painting. Processes used developing my concept work from initial drawings through to developed drawing then taking it to Photoshop to paint

This was successful in helping me because I was able to develop my work throughout the project and improving it. Comparing my first clay model to my second; the second one (Mick Thomson) has been made to have 3D effect whilst the first one (Corey Taylor) has a normal 2D effect.
